What is Micro TESE?

Microsurgical Testicular Sperm Extraction (Micro TESE) is an advanced surgical procedure used to retrieve sperm directly from the testicles in men with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA). This condition occurs when the testes produce little to no sperm due to spermatogenic failure.

When Micro TESE is Recommended?

Micro TESE is recommended for men who:

Have non-obstructive azoospermia due to genetic or medical conditions.
Have failed previous sperm retrieval attempts (e.g., TESE, PESA, or MESA).
Want to conceive using IVF with ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection).

Steps Involved in PESA Treatment

General or Local Anesthesia: The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia to ensure comfort.
Microsurgical Dissection: A high-powered microscope is used to identify and extract areas in the testicle where sperm production is most likely.
